Decks Built for Fort Worth Homes and Yards

Fort Worth runs from the tree-lined streets of Tanglewood and the historic districts near TCU to the rolling lots on the far west side. The older homes often need a deck that respects the character of the house, while the newer builds leave room to stretch out with a cover or an outdoor kitchen. What does not change is the North Texas clay underneath, which swells and shrinks with the seasons and will move a deck that was not footed for it. We set the foundation for our soil so your deck stays solid and level.

What We Build in Fort Worth

Composite and wood decks

Low-maintenance Trex and TimberTech, or cedar and pressure-treated pine, designed to your home and yard.

Patio covers and pergolas

Shade that makes the space usable through a Texas summer, attached or freestanding.

Screened porches and outdoor kitchens

Three-season porches and full outdoor living spaces with kitchens and fire features.

Deck repair and restoration

Board replacement, framing repair, and refinishing to bring a tired deck back to life.

Permits and HOAs in Fort Worth

Most deck projects in Fort Worth need a permit and inspection, especially attached and raised decks and anything with a roof. We handle the permit process and build to city code so the work passes cleanly, and we can work with your HOA’s approval process where one applies.

Fort Worth Deck FAQs

Do you build decks throughout Fort Worth?

Yes, across the city and the surrounding area, including Fairmount, Arlington Heights, Tanglewood, the TCU area, and the west side. If you are just outside the city limits, call and we will confirm we cover you.

Do I need a permit to build a deck in Fort Worth?

In most cases, yes. Fort Worth requires permits for attached decks, raised structures, and covers. We pull the permits and build to code so it passes inspection and does not create problems at resale.

How does the clay soil affect my deck?

Our North Texas clay expands when wet and shrinks when dry, which can heave footings that were not set deep enough. We design the foundation for local soil so the deck stays level over the years.

What deck material works best in Fort Worth?

Composite offers low maintenance, while cedar and pressure-treated wood can be good choices when properly maintained. The right option depends on budget and upkeep preferences.

Can you add a patio cover to an existing deck?

Often yes. The deck structure and foundation must be reviewed first to confirm they can support the planned cover.

How long does a deck build take in Fort Worth?

The timeline depends on size, materials, permits, weather, and design details. We provide a realistic schedule with the written estimate.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It was a very good choice when I chose this company to do a great job in terms of design. Mrs. Zala did a wonderful design and the choice of the type of tiles, sinks and bathroom seat was more than excellent. The implementation was fast and perfect and they checked every little and big thing. Other than that, the cost price was very excellent. I advise everyone to deal with them as they are friendly and their choice of workers is safe and experienced👍👍👍👍👍👍
